INCENTIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL GOING GIRLS.

Introduction

In the year 1997-98, in order to reduce the dropout rate among high school going girl students, and to encourage them to study further, a Incentive Scholarship  of Rs. 500/-was sanctioned for high school going girl students, in addition to the Pre-Matric scholarship of Rs. 100/- per annum.

Description

The girl students going to high school receive Rs. 500/- per annum as an incentive in addition to Rs. 100/- per annum, which is Pre-Matric scholarship. Therefore, only high school girls are eligible to receive Rs. 600/- per annum totally as scholarship

Eligibility

All high school going girls except those residing in Govt. / aided hostels are eligible for the scholarship. There is no income limit for these scholarships. Candidates repeatedly failing the students will loose their eligibility for the scholarship

Documents Required

Caste Certificate. 

Completed application form for the scholarship is sent through the headmistress of the school to the Taluk Social Welfare officer

Whom to Approach

The students have to approach the Taluk Social Welfare Officers for obtaining the application form for applying for the scholarship. The completed forms have to be sent through the School head master or head misters to the D.S.W.O's for sanction and the Cheque will be sent to the concerned schools for disbursement.

Time Schedule

In the beginning of the Academic year forms may be sent for the sanction of scholarship.

Authorities to be approached in case of delay

T.S.W.O's of the concerned Taluks have to be approached.
